Karl Lagerfeld On Drew Barrymore's Chanel Wedding Dress

Last week Grazia Daily brought you a first look at actress Drew Barrymore's big day. The Hollywood actress tied the knot with art consultant Will Kopelman in a beautiful Chanel gown perfectly befitting her understated boho style - (and also fitting her burgeoning baby bump!). Karl Lagerfeld has since spoken out about the gown he designed exclusively for Drew, stating that 'for someone who is pregnant she looked perfect'.

If you are anything like Grazia Daily, you love a good wedding - and when the nuptials involve one of the biggest stars in Hollywood kitted Lange Cocktailjurken out in Chanel, you're in for a real treat.

So it comes as no surprise to hear that us Graziettes have spent the best part of this afternoon cooing over details of Drew Barrymore's Big Day. The 37-year-old tied the knot for the third time this weekend, marrying art consultant Will Kopelman during an intimate ceremony in the back Cocktailjurken 2012 garden of her Californian home (which is Prom Jurken worth a cool $5.7 million, since you ask). Hmm, a low-key backyard wedding? It sounds rather Zuckerberg-esque, no?

The guest-list was far from low-key, however, with Tinseltown's finest in attendance - Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Jimmy Fallon and Busy Philipps were amongst the A-list crowd. According to reports, the ceremony was more like a fete than a glitzy extravaganza with a vintage, romantic theme and an ethereal feel. Meanwhile the decorations included vintage lace, pink flowers and green garlands. Pwetty!

So, let's discuss the dress. Did you know the father of Drew's new hubby, Arie Kopelman, is a former Chanel CEO? How handy! So we already knew the genius that is Karl Lagerfeld was behind the design. And judging by this adorable snap of the newly weds on the cover of People magazine, the gown was as gorgeous as expected.

Accented by a black satin belt at the waist and with a frilly collar plus long-sleeves, the floor-length white frock is perfect for the actress known for her hippy-dippy, boho style. US Weekly reports it was made of pleated muslin and organza while the skirt of the dress was embroidered with flowers in organza, muslin, tulle and feathers and she accessorised the look with Chanel fine jewellery.

Yup, rather than opting for a frothy meringue, the dress was made to reflect the traditional Jewish ceremony's 'classic, simple' vibe and was ideal for gliding over the bride's growing baby bump. During the reception, Drew added a black tweed Chanel jacket and her BFF Cameron wore a matchy-matchy Chanel number.

'The day was perfect,' the blushing bride tells People magazine. 'Everyone we love and care about was there. More 禄

A diamond bigger than Earth?Reuters - Fri, Oct 12, 2012

LONDON (Reuters) - Forget the diamond as big as the Ritz. This one's bigger than planet Earth. Orbiting a star that is visible to the naked eye, astronomers have discovered a planet twice the size of our own made largely out of diamond. The rocky planet, called '55 Cancri e', orbits a sun-like star in the constellation of Cancer and is moving so fast that a year there lasts a mere 18 hours. .
