Dancing With the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff and her fiance, Detroit Tigers pitcher Brad Penny, have postponed their wedding, which was supposed to take place Korte Cocktailjurken on January 21, 2012. They have been dating since October 2009 and announced their engagement last November.
"It's just that we've been apart for over two months now without seeing each other," Karina told KABC-TV. "It was impossible to plan a wedding like that. So we decided that it would be best to wait."
True, DWTS pros have no lives during the seasons and Brad is an active athlete, but that not news to Karina. So why sign up for seasons 12 and 13 in 2011 when you know you have a wedding to plan? Does this mean she is going to take off the next season or use the time between seasons 13 and 14 to plan the wedding and get hitched?
Karina was previously engaged to fellow DWTS bruidsmeisjes jurken pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy but they officially split in September 2009. Before that Karina dated her Season 3 partner Mario Lopez. That one good thing about the DWTS romances they are convenient. Dating a baseball player? Less convenient.
